Fall & Holiday Getaways at Carlton Landing: Your 2026 Guide 🍂 🎄
Summer may get a lot of attention at Lake Eufaula, but fall and the holiday season bring a completely different kind of magic to Carlton Landing.
The weather cools down. The pace gets a little slower. Porches become the perfect place for morning coffee, afternoons are made for exploring town, and the calendar fills with community traditions that give you plenty of reasons to plan another trip to the lake.
Make Carlton Landing Part of Your Holidays

From Fall Break and Halloween to Friendsgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, there are opportunities to turn an ordinary weekend, or your family's holiday celebration, into a Carlton Landing getaway.
And if you're already looking at your family's fall and holiday calendar, now is a great time to start planning.
🍂 Spend Fall Break at Carlton Landing
Fall Break dates are different everywhere. Some schools are out early in October, others later in the month, and some families only have a long weekend to work with.
The good news?
Fall lasts all month long at Carlton Landing.
Throughout October, weekends bring activities around the community, making it easy to choose the dates that work for your family's schedule.
🎬 Friday Night Movies on the Festival Lawn Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for family games, free popcorn, food trucks, and a movie under the stars on select Friday nights throughout October.
🌿 Saturday Wellness Classes Start your Saturday with a little movement. Yoga and Pilates classes are scheduled throughout October, giving the grown-ups a chance to add a little relaxation to Fall Break, too.
🛍️ Saturday Pop-Up Shops Spend your Saturday browsing local makers, artists, small businesses, treats, and more at the Pop-Up Shops on Water Street.
And that's before we even get to the big fall weekends.

🎃 Celebrate Halloween at Hallowbaloo Weekend | October 30–31
If your family loves Halloween, pack the costumes....
Hallowbaloo Weekend takes place October 30–31 and combines Halloween festivities with the small-town community atmosphere Carlton Landing is known for.
Friday evening kicks things off with a Chili Cookoff Potluck followed by Hotel Transylvania on the Festival Lawn.
On Saturday, the festivities continue with wellness programming, Pop-Up Shops, community trick-or-treating, and the Hallowbaloo Fall Festival on Water Street.
The festival includes live music, pumpkin painting, inflatables, food trucks, face painting, and plenty of opportunities for the whole family to join the fun.
Instead of squeezing Halloween festivities into a few hours at home, make a weekend of it at the lake.

🍂 Slow Down Together During Friendsgiving Weekend | November 20–22
Before Thanksgiving week officially begins, Carlton Landing has another opportunity to gather.
Friendsgiving Weekend takes place November 20–22, with Saturday's activities centered around community, tradition, and time spent together.
During Bonfire Building Day, community members gather to help prepare Carlton Landing's Christmas Tree Bonfire. Then that evening, the work gives way to a Friendsgiving gathering and community potluck with food, live music, laughter, and conversation.
It's a weekend built around exactly what this season should be about: slowing down and spending time with people you love.

🎄 Experience Christmas at Carlton Landing with the Holiday Home Tour & Bonfire Weekend | December 11–13
There is something special about seeing Carlton Landing dressed for Christmas.
Holiday Home Tour & Bonfire Weekend takes place December 11–13, bringing together two beloved Carlton Landing holiday traditions.
The Holiday Home Tour gives visitors the opportunity to step inside beautifully decorated Carlton Landing homes, gather Christmas inspiration, and experience some of the architecture and character that make the community unique.
Then there's the Christmas Tree Bonfire, a tradition that brings the community together around an enormous bonfire for an evening centered on warmth, connection, and the Christmas season.
If you've never experienced Carlton Landing during the holidays, this is a pretty good weekend to start.

🏡 Bring Your Own Holiday Traditions to the Lake
Of course, your Carlton Landing getaway doesn't have to revolve around an event.
Sometimes the best reason to come is simply having the space and time to be together.
Thanksgiving at Carlton Landing
Instead of trying to squeeze everyone into someone's house, find a vacation home with room for the family.
Cook Thanksgiving dinner together. Play games around the table. Take an afternoon walk. Let the kids explore outside while the grown-ups actually get a chance to sit and talk.
Christmas at the Lake
A Carlton Landing vacation home can become your family's home away from home for Christmas.
Bring the stockings. Pack everyone's favorite Christmas movies. Make breakfast together. Take slow morning walks and spend the evenings gathered around the table.
You bring the traditions. We'll help you find the place to celebrate them.
Ring in the New Year Somewhere Different
New Year's doesn't have to mean a packed party or an elaborate itinerary.
Invite your favorite people, find a Carlton Landing home with room for everyone, pack the games and something bubbly, and end 2026 with a few days at the lake.
Sometimes starting a new year well looks a lot like slowing down first.
Start Planning Your Fall or Holiday Getaway

There are plenty of reasons to come back to Carlton Landing before the year is over.
The question is: Which weekend are you choosing?
Explore Carlton Landing Vacations to search available vacation homes and find the right space for your family, whether you're planning a quick Fall Break trip or bringing everyone together for the holidays.
And as your trip gets closer, be sure to check the Carlton Landing Foundation Events Calendar. Events, classes, activities, and additional details are updated throughout the season, making it the best place to see what's happening while you're in town.
We'll see you at the lake!
